Job Title: Service Technician Apprentice (Trainee)

Service Manager or Service Department Foreman

Job Function:

Participates in on-the-job training, performing basic repairs of outdoor power equipment and/or agricultural equipment under the direction of a Senior Technician/Service Manager/Shop Foreman.

Essential Duties:

1. Performs basic service tasks as assigned by Service Manager or Service Department Foreman.
2. Develops skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components.
3. Prepares all reports andforms required in conjunction with job assignments
4. Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
5. Assists Senior Technicians as required.
6. Maintains condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment
7. Performs pre-delivery set up and inspection on new equipment as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment.

Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulicsystems.

Good skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
